Glass jammed his left pinkie between two pieces of steel at work on Friday, but elected to play against Dederang on Saturday as the club was in danger of playing a man short.
"I smashed all the end of the pinkie, lost a nail and the flesh was stuffed," he said.
Normally a top order batsman, Glass batted himself at number eight.
"We were in a bit of strife, so I just tried to resurrect the innings," he said.
Glass posted 36 runs from 36 balls, including three boundaries, which helped the home team to a competitive 157 as Dederang fell short on the Duckworth-Lewis system.
"I went through three sets of gloves as they were full of blood," he said.

Glass is likely to miss Mount Beauty and the re-match against Kiewa.
