Rain has washed out Wodonga's first four games, but the forecast for a mostly sunny 23 degrees has the classy right-hander primed for his first bat since the preliminary final win over Lavington on March 14.
"I've never been injured, but back in the old days in Wagga we used to miss the first two or three weeks (to rain), but after four weeks off and with the bye next week, I just need to get a bat," he said.
"But, mate, I'm not the only one, it's really frustrating to be in the situation we're in, but what can we do?"
Jackson debuted in first grade at Hay while still at primary school and, at 45, has only missed a longer period than his current drought once.
