The young line-up was led by brothers Tyson and Elih Mutsch while Rex Gallaher played a major role with a series of counter attacks.
Coach Tyson Mutsch, who has only just turned 18, believes the side is improving with each match.
"It was a very good win," Mutsch said.
"We had a game plan from the start to push them right out and make them feel uncomfortable and score goals and that's what we did.
"I thought we played much better than last week when we had a few cobwebs."
Goalkeeper Steve Sloan was resolute in defence for Pirates while Matt O'Connell refused to concede.
Northside finished second behind Sharks last season and are hoping to continue their development.
"We've gone from fourth to second and hopefully further this year," he said.
"Our side has pretty much built up from the under-14s with my brother and I, Sam Beddoes, Rex Gallaher and a few others."
Sharks defeated Albury Tigers 6-3 with Ben Douglass scoring four goals.
In women's A grade, Pirates accounted for Northside 13-6.
Annie Lefoe and Chelsea Isaacs did a power of work for the victors with Eliza Carroll strong in goals.
Sharks scored a comfortable 18-5 win over Albury Tigers.
