Adkins played 11 senior matches for the Pigeons as a youngster before moving to Melbourne and joining Brunswick North Old Boys St Patrick's College.
He kicked 41 goals in 13 matches in 2019 including a 10-goal bag against Hawthorn.
The long-kicking Adkins, who is a son of former Pigeon Rob, oozes pace and will add even more strength to a running brigade including Mark Whiley and Willie and Harry Wheeler.
Yarrawonga has been attracting over 40 players to pre-season training and look set to be a formidable force with Lach Howe, Harry Haley, Riley Welsh and Logan Morey being locked in to play at J.C. Lowe Oval in recent weeks.
The Pigeons are looking to secure as many former players as possible in a bid to return to finals action after finishing seventh in 2019.
