Hilltop Albury Wodonga Patient and Carer Accommodation Centre raised about $800 on Saturday morning, money that will be used to help people affected by cancer.
"That's going to go back into making their life a little bit more comfortable whilst they're staying here," centre manager Helen Murray said.
Ms Murray had not participated in the trail before and appreciated the council support and advertising help she received.
"I thought it was a really good way to go," she said.
Aiming to declutter Hilltop, the sale offered sheets and laundry trolleys as well as items donated specifically for the occasion.
Ms Murray said customers visited "in dribs and drabs", appropriate for social distancing, and the weather "was perfect".
