Firefighters work to extinguish truck fire on Hume Highway

The vehicle travelling northbound about 2km south of Holbrook was carrying livestock when its brakes reportedly overheated.
Fire and Rescue NSW Southern Zone Commander Stewart Alexander said both FRNSW and Rural Fire Service units were tending to the incident just after 3pm on Thursday.

"It appears to be more of a mechanical problem as the brakes overheated, so our crews are working on cooling those brakes down now," he said.
