Commercial's Marion Bruce and Kaye Habermann booked their place at next year's Women's Bowls NSW state championships thanks to an impressive 15-shot win at the Region 11 playoffs recently held at Tumut.

The 30-15 win in the open pairs came against Gundagai's Mary McCormick and Bronwyn Naughton.
North Albury's Shirley Geddes and Jeanette Tuckwell are also off to state after a 14-11 win against Gundagai's Helen Pearce and Joan Dunn in the senior pairs.

Bruce and Habermann featured in the senior fours with Kath Baggeridge and Judy Pressnell and fell to a Tumbarumba side, 20-11.
Holbrook's Jo Merkel, Pam Kaletta, Marlene Thurling and Pam Seymour went down 23-20 in the open fours to Gundagai, while Merkel lost to Tumut's Sue Frankiewiecz, 25-17, in the singles.
The state championships take place at Malua Bay from February 2 to 10, 2021.
