Piltz took on his first senior coaching role ahead of the 2020 campaign after more than 15 years across various grades in the AWFA and time with Murray United's youth teams.
New club president Kasey Medway said it was a straightforward decision to lock in Piltz.
"He's shown interest again and he seems to get along well with the young crew he's got, as well as the older guys who were already at Albury City," Medway said.

"I think like a lot of clubs at the moment, we want to try get the football season going after the false start that was 2020.
"As a club, our main aim is to recoup from 2020 and hopefully we can field all our sides in 2021.
"I've only just kicked off in the role and I'm being led by previous presidents Rob (Brown) and Garry (Brew) and we're in discussions about the new year.
"Albury Council have got some COVID policies we have to abide by so we can get back to training."
Medway said City's senior teams will look to commence pre-season in January.
