Anthony Carroll is contesting allegations against him, including his involvement in a break-in at Wodonga Sand and Soil in April worth $200,000.
He was allegedly involved in the theft of specialist drilling equipment and two vehicle thefts.
It's alleged he was involved in an armed break-in at Geelong involving three others, including Wodonga man James Warren.
It's alleged there was an intent to assault the victim, with one of the accused heard yelling out that he was a "f---ing rapist".

Carroll allegedly had a hammer at the time, with some of the incident captured on security cameras.
He recently applied for bail in the County Court ahead of possible trials over the allegations.
Carroll had to show exceptional circumstances to the court in order to be released, with the prosecution opposing his bail.
Concerns were raised that he would return to his long-running drug problem a short time after being released.
"I have concerns for the community safety if the accused is released," Detective Leading Senior Constable Ian Deverell said.
"We have issues with the accused absconding from police when he realised he was wanted."
Carroll asked to be bailed into an Odyssey House drug treatment program.
His lawyer Angela Sharpley said a trial was likely.
"There are real and significant issues and it's appropriate that this matter does go to trial," she said.
Judge Wendy Wilmoth said Carroll would be bailed to Odyssey House on December 21 and will return to court on February 3.
