The man, 19, from East Albury is facing a count of recklessly wounding in company following the drama which unfolded in Wagga Road around 8pm on Friday.
The initial stabbing happened when a man, 44, went to a home and allegedly attacked a woman, 38, in what police described as a domestic violence related matter.
That man has then left the premises and was then confronted by two men with one of them allegedly stabbing him.
Both those wounded were taken from the scene, which was at the northern end of Wagga Road near Dick Road, to Albury hospital for treatment.
The woman was released over the weekend, while the man remains in hospital under police guard.
He was yesterday described as being in a critical condition.
The charged teenager has been refused bail and will face a magistrate in Albury Court on Monday.
Police said all parties involved in the matter were known to each other and investigations were continuing to unfold.
It is unclear whether the same blade was used in both stabbings.
Meanwhile, Albury police have called for public help to identify a man who allegedly kicked in a window at a Dean Street clothes store around 3.40am on November 12.
The man, described as thinly built Caucasian, aged in his early 20s, 175 to 185 cm tall and clean shaven and with long straight black hair was caught on security cameras.
He was last seen heading west.
Those with information should phone Albury police on (02) 6023 9299.
