Bridge Road Brewers founders Ben and Maria Kraus and their children - Lilyana, 10, Maurice, 8, and Louis, 2, - flew into Adelaide, where they will quarantine for two weeks.

The family planned to come home in July after a "gap year" at the foot of the Austrian Alps, where Maria grew up.

In late September Mr Kraus said their flights booked in July, August and September had been cancelled due to the restrictions on arrivals into Australia.

They had re-enrolled the children in school in Austria after their plans fell through.

On Monday Bridge Road Brewers came up with a novel plan to help the family through quarantine.

Beechworth Pale Ale finished sixth from 2500 nominated beers last year.
