Kiewa will have to overcome second placed Mt Beauty away from home to do so, with Jacob Barber and batsmen Josh Warren unavailable for the clash.
"Whenever we play Mt Beauty it's always tough, especially up there," Kiewa skipper Josh Bartel said.
"They play at their ground so well.
"To try and cement up the top three before Christmas would be pretty nice."
Kiewa currently sit fourth in the standings and are just under Baranduda on percentage.

After a slow start, the reigning premiers look to have found some form in recent rounds.
"We would have liked to have started a bit better, but we're still working out our bowling and batting," Bartel said.
Damien Morrison and Ben Slocombe's bowling contributions have been valuable, while Toby Schliebs has impressed in the field with two catches last weekend.
Bartel praised the efforts of younger brother Jason with the bat this season.
"He's been our rock at the top four for us," he said.
Other District games on Saturday will see Barnawartha/Chiltern take on Baranduda at home, Dederang to host Yackandandah and Bethanga to clash with Eskdale at Bethanga Recreation Reserve.
Yackandandah sits on top the ladder after nine rounds with five wins.
