Trained at Albury by Denise Wise, the nine-year-old defied his age and a wide barrier to score in the $22,000 Benchmark 58 Handicap, (1300m) with jockey John Kissick aboard.
It was the second leg of a winning double for Kissick who scored earlier in the day aboard the Kerry Weir-trained Cattledog Cod.
Kissick also notched a winning double at Albury last Saturday.
He is starting to recapture the form which saw him win the Southern districts jockey title before spending almost four years on the sidelines with a back injury.
Dezzy had finished runner-up in his previous two starts this preparation and had his consistency rewarded with another victory.
Despite his age, Dezzy has only had 17 career starts with yesterday his fourth win.
Wise is enjoying a good run with her small team after Manners Honey won at Wagga earlier this month, also with Kissick aboard.
"Dezzy is a bit of a marvel in that the older he gets, the better he gets," Wise said.
"He had a bit of a freshen-up before today because he was a bit offish which is easy to pick.
"So I just leave him in his paddock and when he is happy again, I bring him back into the stable.
"I was praying for rain and was pleased when it poured down overnight.
"He loves it heavy but he ran a huge race last-start on a good (3) and seems to handle all track conditions now."
