All close contacts of an air traveller to Griffith who later tested positive for COVID-19 have so far returned negative test results.

Murrumbidgee Local Health District said the close contacts were required to be tested and isolate for 14 days.
"People can continue to test positive for COVID-19 up to 14 days after exposure, so the close contacts will be tested again before leaving isolation," the health service said.
NSW Health previously reported the Sydney person travelled on a flight from Sydney to Griffith on December 21 and then tested positive on Christmas Eve.
This person flew before they knew they were a close contact of a case.

MLHD said anyone feeling unwell or with even the slightest symptoms should get tested and stay home until they received a negative result.
"With an increased number of people travelling at this time of year we must all keep up our guard against COVID-19 by limiting social interactions wherever possible and following recommended infection control practices, including physical distancing and hand hygiene," the service said.
