A MAN has been stripped of his licence after being caught behind the wheel with a blood alcohol reading more than three times the legal limit.

Police stopped the 28-year-old in Shaw Street about 6.55pm on New Year's Eve for a random breath test.
The driver returned a positive test and was taken to Wagga Police Station where further analysis revealed a reading of 0.174.

He was charged with high-range drink-driving and will appear in court at a later date.
