A 39-year-old Albury man required surgery to remove glass fragments from his eyes, after two men allegedly smashed a window and attempted to kick down the door of a Watson Street unit.

Just after 11.20pm yesterday, police officers were called to the Albury unit and told two men had attempted to kick in the door before smashing a window next to the door injuring the 39-year-old.
The two men then fled.
Police said the 39-year-old victim was treated at the scene and taken to hospital in a stable condition where he underwent eye surgery.
IN OTHER NEWS:
A woman, 23, and two-year-old child were also home at the time but were uninjured.
A crime scene was established and detectives are investigation.
