More than two years after an excavator smashed into the Borella Road overpass, Transport for NSW are still undertaking works to repair the damage.

The latest round of construction night-works on the Hume Highway will take place from Monday and should be completed by April.
On October 29, 2018, a 22-tonne excavator on the back of a truck clipped the overpass, damaging three structural beams, a storm-water drain, an electrical line and the highway surface.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Works will take place from 9pm to 5am on weekdays and 9pm to 7am on weekends with southbound lanes of the Hume Highway closed during this time and diversions in place via the Riverina Highway/Borella Road on and off ramp.
A 24-hour reduced speed limit of 80 km/h will be in place on the southbound lanes of the Hume Highway until work is completed.
The speed limit on Borella Road will be reduced to 40 km/h until February 5.
Works were previously undertaken in 2018 and 2020.
