Corowa Civic produced one of the upsets of the Ovens and Murray A1 pennant season with a thrilling two-shot win at home to crosstown rivals Corowa RSL on Saturday.

After falling by 21 shots to RSL in the first round, Civic held its nerve in the return fixture, 67-65, and moved off the bottom of the table.
Col Hendren defeated Jordan Thornton, 21-,12, and Ian Lewis downed Ryan Davies, 24-9, but RSL claimed the other two rinks with Scott Widdison a 22-8 winner against John White and Shawn McMahon too good for Ian Bilney, 22-14.

Wodonga continued its unbeaten start to the season with a hard-fought 87-77 win away to Kiewa Valley.
Yarrawonga took down Benalla, 94-64, away from home, while YMGCR won all four rinks in its 112-75 demolition of Wangaratta.
