The all-abilities observation deck next to the existing Bent's Lookout has a glass floor section.
The structure was completed before Christmas as part of $1.8 million in Gorge visitor area upgrades.
There were 35,000 visitors to the national park in that month alone - with many of the 10,000 extra people thought to be Victorians unable to leave their state.
That was the story for the Gorgioski family of Melbourne, staying in Porepunkah.
"We had a booking for Merimbula actually, but the borders closed," Sonia Gorgioski said.
"So we started trying to find something within Victoria and Bright popped up, so we decided to go.
"We came up the mountain today, we wanted to see what it looked like from the top - it's really good."
Mr Gorgioski thought the new lookout could benefit from having a larger section of glass flooring.

There were concepts from the Mount Buffalo Chalet Destination Advisory Group in 2016 for a glass walkway, which was assessed by PricewaterhouseCoopers in a feasibility study as not producing risk-adjusted returns highly appealing to the private sector.
Taungurung Land and Waters Council has been involved in planning the lookout.
"We've been involved in discussion and making sure the design and impact on Country is appropriate," chief executive Matt Burns said.
"From a Taungurung perspective, we with Parks Victoria moving forward are wanting to see more patrons visiting Mount Buffalo."
