Staff from the safety regulator attended Benalla business LS Precast after a person at the site was seriously injured.
The man, aged in his 20s, has since been flown to hospital in Melbourne for treatment.
The exact circumstances of what occurred remain unclear, but the worker is believed to have been crushed.
A spokesman for WorkSafe said it was aware of the matter.
"WorkSafe is making inquiries," the spokesman said.
The injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
Police said the injuries occurred while the man was working.
EARLIER: Paramedics are preparing to fly a seriously injured man to hospital following a North East workplace incident.
Emergency services were called to LS Precast in Benalla a short time before 11am on Wednesday.
A man in his 20s was reportedly injured after being crushed at the Murray Road business.
