Five of the seven charges each boy faces are to be withdrawn by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
But Albury Children's Court heard on Tuesday that one of two remaining charges were of a similar nature.
IN OTHER NEWS:
The boys are expected to be committed for sentence in the District Court in Albury when their matters go back before magistrate Richard Funston on February 23.
They were aged 16 and 17 when arrested and charged with attempted murder soon after the Swan Street house blaze on November 11, 2019.
Police said at the time of the fire that a girl suffered stab wounds to her abdomen, back and head, as well as having her liver punctured.
She had just been rescued from the smoke-filled house by firefighters and later had to undergo surgery at Albury hospital.
The boys were arrested in Allawah Street that same day.
They will eventually face sentence on charges of cause wounding or grievous bodily harm to a person with the intention to murder and destroy or damage property with the intention of endangering life.
The charges to be withdrawn at the committal will be attempted murder, wound person with the intention of causing grievous bodily harm, choke person with the intention of committing an indictable offence, armed with intention to commit an indictable offence and take person in company with the intention of committing a serious indictable offence.
DPP representative Mary-Beth McFarlane said an agreed set of facts had been finalised.
The teenagers must front the committal.
