"The goal this year is to win the championship for sure," Boys said.
It will be Boys' third year in the feeder series to the nation's number one motorsport category, the Supercars series.
He finished third in a COVID-interrupted season in 2020 and has the belief he can go two steps higher.
"I just want to win races and get on the podium each time. If I do that the championship will look after itself.
"While the end goal is to win the series, I don't want to think about it too much. I just need to concentrate on one race at a time and build it.
"I want to get into the main series next year, so it's really important to have a good, solid year this year, do Bathurst in the main series again like I did last year with Brad Jones and hopefully I will have done enough to earn a spot somewhere."
In a change from the last 10 years, the series kicks-off at Bathurst and the Super 2 cars feature on the schedule of the three-day event.
Boys has traditionally been quick at the intimidating Mount Panorama circuit and is looking forward to getting back there for the third time in his career.

"It's a bit scary to think that this is my third year - it's gone pretty quick," he said.
"No doubt it's a huge advantage though. I think back to my first couple of years and just how much I've learnt.
"Also, going to Bathurst first-up is good, because I've driven there a fair bit now, so it's not as daunting as it was the first couple of times.
"I think drivers like me, that have raced there before, will have a fair leg up on the others."
With round one only two weeks away, Boys and his Image Racing team were at Winton Motor Raceway for testing this week.
"With less than one tenth of a second separating the top five cars in qualifying last year, all teams are searching for the slightest advantage over their rivals.
"I was a bit rusty at the start, it's the first time I'd driven a Super 2 car since Bathurst last year, but once I'd done a few laps I was back into it," Boys said.
"We found a few things that really worked; made the car much better to drive. I used to feel like it was on the edge the whole time, which is not what you want at places like Bathurst or Adelaide where a small mistake ends with a big crash.
"So I feel like we should have something that's going to be competitive straight out of the truck.
"With it being only a six-round championship, we can't afford a bad result anywhere, so it's going to be an intense year but I'm looking forward to it"
Round one of the Supercars series is at Bathurst from February 26 to 28.
