While the world's two biggest tours - the USPGA and European - have long since re-started, many other Tour players have been forced to find other work.
"Absolutely, (2015 New Zealand Open champion) Jordan Zunic is a perfect example, he was doing shift work at Drummond Golf," PGA Australia national tournament coordinator Peter Welden said.
"Another has been doing landscaping, a lot of players have had to get other work because everything pretty much shut down in 2020, they're chomping at the bit to play."
The incredible circumstances of the past 12 months just adds another element to the event, which boasts $50,000 in prizemoney.
The tournament will also feature two female players.
Danielle Vasquez will tee off from the 10th tee at 8.20am in Tuesday's first round, while Doey Choi will start from the same hole at 11.50.
Choi only turned pro last Saturday after contesting the Australian Amateur Championship in Adelaide so Corowa is her pro debut.

The players can hit from the ladies tees for prizemoney, but if they want to qualify for next month's NSW Open, they will have to play from the men's tees.
