NO COVID vaccinations will be done in Border aged care homes next week when the rollout of virus protection begins in Australia.
On Thursday, Federal Health Minister Greg Hunt announced a list of nearly 200 places where the Pfizer doses will be given to the elderly in care residences.
The nearest site to the Border is Wagga with those living in that city's six aged care homes slated for jabs delivered under the supervision of the Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network.

In Victoria, the closest location is Bendigo which is the headquarters for the Murray Primary Health Network.
Mr Hunt said nationally the sites were selected "on a risk basis" and to ensure "diversity across urban and rural" areas.
It is unclear if any Border sites will be part of the second week and uncertainty also surrounds when Albury Wodonga Health's vaccination hub will open.
