
Frontline staff at Northeast Health Wangaratta will receive their first dose of the COVID-19 Pfizer vaccine in coming weeks from the Albury Wodonga Health hub.
Acting executive director of clinical operations Chris Gartside said the organisation was working with Albury Wodonga Health on the roll out and logistical planning of the vaccination.
"We are now planning for the cascade of initial vaccinations to the most at risk staff and preparing for the larger vaccination roll out to occur in the coming months," he said.

Northeast Health is also coordinating a plan to vaccinate its staff and aged care residents at its Illoura facility.
The organisation said the community rollout of the COVID-19 vaccines will commence in March through GPs and pharmacies under state and commonwealth supervision.
