A Commercial Club combination recently won the Riverina District Women's Bowling Association senior fours for a fourth straight year.
The team of Hazel Sims, Kath Baggeridge, Kaye Habermann and Marion Bruce proved too strong in the final at Henty against Culcairn's Sandra Robertson, Vicki Sheather, Joyce Gardiner and Roslyn Barber to win it 22-8.
Baggeridge, Habermann and Bruce had won the event the past three years alongside Judy Pressnell, who was replaced by Sims due to injury.
ALSO IN SPORT:
It wasn't a smooth start for Sims as she was unable to play in the early rounds due to Victoria's COVID-19 snap lockdown, with Roma Newman her substitute.
Meanwhile, the Holbrook team of Pam Seymour, Marlene Thurling, Pam Kaletta and Jo Merkel went back to back in the open fours with a 28-14 salute against Lavington's Lesley Scammell, Belinda Moore, Lyn Martin and Heather Chaston.
