Nathan Kade Gaffy wrote to Albury Local Court with his guilty plea and his special request.
IN OTHER NEWS:
But magistrate Richard Funston said he was not willing to take that course.
He said Gaffy must appear in person for sentencing on the charges.
These involve counts of enter vehicle or boat without consent of owner, offensive behaviour, resist police and two charges of destroy or damage property.
Police told the court there would be a compensation order sought for the victim totaling about $7000.
Mr Funston said he would not make such an order until Gaffy was sentenced.
Gaffy was not represented in court.
The case was adjourned to March 15.
