Rovers took on the Goulburn Valley League side in Shepparton, contesting six 10 minute quarters.
Katey Pryor, Millie Matthewson and captain Ash Martin were all standouts in the return to the court.
"What we saw was really positive," Halton said.
"The main focus was just to get everyone on the court to get some match play.

"The girls had some things they wanted to focus on and some goals they wanted to set."
Rovers will take on Lavington for the Ovens and Murray league's season opener.
"I think everyone's starting to feel that it's real now," Halton said.
The club will look to take on Shepparton United for another netball practice match this month.
