An Albury Thunder forward has been inspired to adopt a more professional attitude after the high of playing for Melbourne Storm's reserve grade on Saturday night.

Reece Clegg was one of three Thunder players called in to the NRL club's second team against Newcastle as a reward for a productive off-season.
"Mate, it was everything I expected, it was crazy out there, it was so fast, it was so good and it was good to not feel like I didn't belong out there," he said.
The Storm won the clash at Albury Sportsground with much of the COVID capacity crowd of 3750 inside the ground in the latter stages.
At 192cms and 116kgs, the 20-year-old was determined not to be overpowered, while picking up some handy tips.

"Probably the professionalism, the way they do everything, their mindset, from 11 o'clock this morning to all the way through and it shows, we completed nine of our first 10 sets and that comes from being prepared," he said.

Clegg was joined in the forward pack by Thunder recruit Harry Reicher and halfback Bronson Meehan.
