A truck driver is facing a drug charge after police allegedly found speed and a glass pipe in his rig after being stopped near Cootamundra.

Police stopped the Kenworth heavy vehicle for random testing around 8.40pm on Thursday, subjecting the driver to a breath and drug test.
The 47-year-old passed the breath test, however the roadside drug returned a positive result, police said.
Highway patrol officers spoke further with the driver before conducting a search of the both the driver and the truck.
IN OTHER NEWS:
That search allegedly uncovered a "clear crystal substance that the driver identified as speed" as well as a glass pipe.
"After further observations of the driver he was subjected to an assessment of sobriety," police said.
"As a result of that the driver was conveyed to Cootamundra Hospital where a sample of blood and urine were obtained."
The man has been charged with possessing a prohibited drug and further charges are pending the outcome of the blood and urine analysis, police said.
A further examination of the driver's work diary will also be conducted.
