Koschitzke kicked six goals in a near best afield performance as the Hawks ran-out 39-point victors.
The former Murray Bushranger has been moved from defence to attack this season and looked right at home taking six marks.
Koschitzke played down his prospects of lining up against Essendon at Marvel Stadium on March 20.
"I'm starting to feel a lot more confident in my ability but I wouldn't use the word cemented yet," Koschitzke said.
"I've still got stuff to work on."
Hawks coach Alastair Clarkson said it would be difficult to ignore Koschitzke for round one.
"Jacob played an important role for us last week against the Bulldogs but didn't score a goal, today he kicked six and could have kicked a couple of others," Clarkson said.
"It's hard not to pick him when he has kicked six goals but we will wait and look at what the balance of the side is and look at what Essendon do with the balance of their side.
"Kicking six goals in the last trial game certainly doesn't hurt."
Jack Ziebell had 23 touches for the Roos.
