The Scots School Albury captures Interschools tennis event at Albury grasscourts

Led by captain Joel Cook, Scots claimed 82 sets to finish ahead of nearest rival Trinity Anglican College on 52.

Victory Lutheran College and Catholic College Wodonga ranked in the top 10.

Karen Plested's son James and daughter Sienna played for Trinity and she said it was a fabulous competition.

"James, Molly, Susie, Sienna, Bella and Sam had a great time over the three days and their tennis really improved," she said.

"They all really enjoyed playing singles and doubles as a team. They all played so much tennis.

"Trinity didn't win, but the students won a lot of matches individually and they are proud of playing."

The overall teams winner was Canberra Jets, which included Chevonne Van Rensberg (Canberra Grammar), Amy Oades (St George Christian Sydney), Elise Dayton (Canberra Grammar) and Nicholas Lam (The Scots School Albury).

Players from Albury, Wodonga, Griffith, Canberra and Sydney contested the three-day event which was the first of its kind in a country region.

Border coaches who entered players included Kate Hargreaves, Brock Dixon, Jade Culph, Cameron Meagher, Joe Rogers and Phil Shanahan.
