Wodonga patients will have greater access to the COVID vaccine with another GP clinic being approved for the national roll-out.
Umbrella Health Wodonga joins Elmwood Medical Centre as approved clinics to administer the AstraZeneca vaccination as part of phase 1b.
The family medical clinic, formally known as Daintree Medical Centre, will begin vaccinating patients in the coming weeks when directive from Murray Primary Health Network is confirmed.
Nurse manager Di Elliott said all staff have done the COVID training and a separate area of the clinic will be dedicated to vaccinations.
"There are fairly strict guidelines with COVID and consent and understanding what they are having so patients will have the opportunity to ask questions and be monitored after their immunisation as well," she said.
"We have the ability to add more space if we need to, we are fairly flexible and versatile with what capacity we will operate in.
"That is really guided by the PHN, but we have all the fridge space and backup generators and everything ready for the vaccines to arrive."

Practice manager Heather Paterson said they are looking forward to being apart of the roll-out for the Wodonga community.
"We are excited that we have the opportunity to be a part of this and to do this for our community," she said.
"It is going to be a long process, we expect the initial hype, but it will take a long time to vaccinate everyone in the different phases."
Ms Elliott said given the time of year, they will also be managing the flu vaccination for patients around the COVID vaccination schedule.
Umbrella Health will be taking appointments for their COVID vaccination clinic once the vaccines arrive in the coming weeks.
They are also in the final stages of opening their Albury clinic in the newly-built Hamilton building.
