Terrified, the woman began walking the short distance from Albury's SS&A Club to the police station.
But that didn't stop Adrian Sullivan.

Magistrate Richard Funston was scathing of the actions of Sullivan - who had to be told to be quiet when he belligerently tried to argue his case while being sentenced - in the early hours of November 15.
"He's got a major problem with anger and a major problem with disrespecting women and people want to get away from him," he said to defence lawyer Mitchell Irwin.
"How terrifying this would have been for her, having to walk to the police station.
"I'm absolutely appalled by the behaviour."
Even his lawyer didn't shy away from what Sullivan did.
"He accepts his behaviour was, in his words, absolutely disgusting."
Mr Irwin said Sullivan had not been in trouble since 2016 and that "there has been times when he was a law-abiding citizen".
But Mr Funston wasn't swayed, pointing out there was nothing in Sullivan's favour aside from his guilty plea to two charges each of intimidation and common assault.
Sullivan, 36, and the victim had recently separated after a five-month relationship when he approached her at the club about 1am.
He wanted to speak but she declined, so Sullivan became agitated and said: "It's not over, I'll meet you out the front. I'll kill your family and burn down your house."
A male friend who tried to help was threatened with: "If you touch her I'll hunt you down and kill you, it will be the last thing I ever do."
Sullivan was sentenced to 20 months' jail, with a minimum of 10 months.
He will be released on September 15.
