LAVINGTON speedster Jack Kirley's season is in limbo after the premiership backman suffered a potentially serious knee during an intra-club match.

Kirley went down in general play on Wednesday night with spectators at the ground immediately fearing the worst.
Club president Mark Sanson said the Panthers were keeping their fingers crossed.
"It didn't look great but we will just have to wait and see," Sanson said.
Kirley's run from defence was pivotal for Lavington in 2019 with the youngster impressing in its grand final win over Wangaratta at Norm Minns Oval.
The intra-club was the Panthers' final hit-out before their season opener against Wangaratta Rovers at Lavington Sportsground on Sunday, March 28.
Although speculation has been rife about Nico Sedgwick returning to Brock-Burrum, the fearless midfielder was close to best afield and it would now be a major surprise if he returned to the Hume league.
Sedgwick and coach SImon Curtis played on the same side and dominated the midfield with Marty Brennan also prominent.
Adam Flagg put a limited pre-season behind him to kick three goals while Macca Hallows is set to take his game to another level after picking up many telling possessions.
Aidan Johnson also made his presence felt with some strong marking.
Veteran John Hunt played and looks set to extend his Ovens and Murray career for another season.
Wollongong recruits Darcy Hennessy and Aidan Cook did enough to indicate they will be pressing for senior selection.
Tim Hanna and Chris Annett were among the absentees.
In Saturday's practice matches, Myrtleford travel to Euroa, Wangaratta host Golden Square, Wodonga will face a tough test at Benalla and Wodonga Raiders meet Shepparton United.
Corowa-Rutherglen play Nathalia on Sunday.
