A 12-year-old boy has died after he became trapped underneath an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) on a private property at West Wyalong.
Emergency services were called to Railway Road in the town about 6pm on Saturday, following reports a young boy had been injured in a crash involving an ATV.
Police have been told the vehicle was being driven by a 15-year-old boy when it lost control and flipped, trapping a passenger underneath.
Witnesses were able to free the passenger, a 12-year-old boy, and treat him at the scene until the arrival of paramedics.
The younger boy was taken to West Wyalong Hospital but died on arrival.

Officers from the Murrumbidgee Police District attended and established a crime scene.
The Crash Investigation Unit will continue inquiries into the events leading up to the crash.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
