Brandon Purtell injured his hamstring in the semi-final win over Corowa on March 14, but he has made some progress.
"I've surprised myself, I've been doing a little bit of running and I've actually been bowling off a couple of steps as well," Brandon said on Thursday afternoon.
John Purtell hasn't played in a flag at North with the grand final against Lavington three years ago washed out.
We can't let the Ryan and Nathan Browns get on top of us because they can take three or four wickets and change the game.

Brandon played in North's win over Lavington two years ago, but John followed a mate out to district outfit Eskdale.
"I was happy for the boys when they won it the next year I was gone, but it was a bit disappointing I wasn't part of it," John admitted.
John spent two years at Eskdale and mainly played second grade at North early, but has now snared 15 scalps.
"Their bowling attack is really good, we can't let the Ryan and Nathan Browns get on top of us because they can take three or four wickets and change the game," he said.
