A man and woman in their 20s had been visiting the site from Melbourne and both slipped.
There had been initial concerns the pair had gone underwater and failed to resurface, but the man was able to climb back up the slope.

The woman had to be dragged back to safety with a suspected broken arm before being airlifted to the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne.
The injuries were not life threatening.
Sergeant Brian Curran said emergency services cleared the scene about 6pm.
"It's a very dangerous area," he said.
"It's important people are aware of their surroundings."

The incident was one of several similar rescues at the weekend, including at Mt Beauty Gorge and a waterfall at Cheshunt.
