Ms Smedley confirmed the suspension after being one of those to front the RSL committee on the basis their Facebook comments brought the branch into disrepute.
But she declined to comment on the ban when contacted.
The Border Mail has obtained a letter outlining the reasons for the suspension.
"The committee thanks you for attending and providing your explanation into this matter," the letter states.
"After due consideration it was found that your comments were by admission ill-informed and without consideration to all the circumstances.
"When you were spoken to by a member of the committee and requested to remove your post and contributing comments you refused.
"After due consideration the committee has found on the balance of probability that your posts and comments on Facebook as it relates to the Wodonga RSL and committee were belittling and brought the club into disrepute.
"It further encouraged others to engage in comments that (were) intended to be insulting and belittling."
The two-week suspension handed out by the committee began on March 22.
IN OTHER NEWS
The RSL sub branch has defended its handling of Facebook critics by holding face-to-face meetings with them.
"It was considered that the comments made were intended to insult, belittle and denigrate both individuals and the RSL as a whole," president Jim Begley said in a statement released last month.
"As a part of the process the comments were examined to ensure that natural justice and due process was properly followed and to assess whether there could be any constructive and reasonable purposes for the posts.
"We hope and encourage all persons from all walks of life not to accept trolling and bullying on social media under the guise of free speech."
