Several burn-offs have recently escaped properties in the North East, and some people have failed to register burns.
Monday marks the end of the fire danger period in the final parts of Victoria, but people are still urged to check conditions on the day of planned burns.

CFA Chief Officer Jason Heffernan said fires could get out of control in just minutes.
"While light winds can help to disperse smoke, burn-offs should not be conducted if the wind speed is more than 10km/h," he said.
"This can be observed when twigs and leaves are in constant motion."
