A young woman was airlifted to Wagga Base Hospital on Sunday afternoon after the boat she was in flipped over on the Murrumbidgee River, leaving multiple people to swim for the banks.

A NSW Ambulance Service spokesperson said emergency services were called to the river at Euroley, north-west of Narrandera, just before 3pm on Sunday.
The boat had flipped as a result of an accident and six people were thrown into the water but they were all wearing lifejackets and were able to swim to the river bank.

"One woman, an 25-year-old, suffered a bad laceration to her leg and she was treated by ambulance paramedics at the scene, transported to Narrandera Airport and was met by the Toll Rescue Helicopter who took her to Wagga Base Hospital," the NSW Ambulance Service spokesperson said.
The woman was in a stable condition when she was taken to Wagga, with the helicopter arriving at the hospital at about 5.40pm.
