Signage with QR codes have been established in the city's outdoor spaces to send people to an online map of cafes, restaurants and pubs.
Blind Freddy's Cafe owner John Miseski said it complemented the new outdoor infrastructure in Junction Square.
"The QR codes ... encourages people whether they're locals or visitors to try and shop local," he said.
Wodonga mayor Kevin Poulton said it was among the initiatives funded by $500,000 from the state government's outdoor dining fund.
"You'll be seeing some familiar Wodonga faces on TV and on the back of buses, encouraging us all to get out and enjoy not just the outdoors, but everything Wodonga has to offer."
