Maksymow's driving over about 4.2 kilometres was so threatening that she was forced off the road, along with other motorists.
As she travelled across the suburb, doing U-turns to try to get away, she spoke to a Triple-0 operator, pleading for help from the police.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"She must have been absolutely terrified," magistrate Miranda Moody said on Thursday in relation to the incident that set-off the pursuit, in which the noted Border footballer repeatedly overtook her then blocked her car.
Maksymow, who is already serving a prison sentence for previous domestic violence inflicted on the victim, entered the woman's home on October 31 at 1.10pm.
RELATED:
After a short conversation, Albury Local Court heard, she asked Maksymow to leave.
He refused so she went to leave via a gate, but Maksymow blocked her path, threatening: "If you run I'm going to chase you."
The woman left through another gate, got in her car and locked the doors.
Maksymow approached the car, punched a window without causing damage and grabbed the door handle.
The woman began to drive off so Maksymow pulled off the driver's side mirror.
She drove away in fear, followed by Maksymow.
Ms Moody was scathing of the actions of Maksymow, who initially intended to fight the allegations at a hearing on Thursday but then changed his plea to guilty on charges of using his car to menace another driver, destroy property and intimidation.
"This is very serious offending," she told Maksymow, who appeared via a video link to Junee jail, where until Thursday he was to remain until at least August 31.
"He comes before the court with a horrendous criminal history."
Ms Moody said Maksymow, 28, had to receive more time behind bars so handed him an aggregate term of 14 months, with a non-parole period of eight months.
The sentence won't begin until June 1, giving him a release date of January 31.
