A 21-year-old man and teenage girl who allegedly led police on a cross border pursuit after stealing a car from Wangaratta and driving to Albury have appeared before court.

Police spotted the allegedly stolen Holden Commodore in a driveway on Ryan Road, North Albury, while they were conducting a cross-border operation.
Checks confirmed it had been stolen from Wangaratta earlier on Thursday.
NSW Police monitored the car until it crossed into Wodonga and Victoria Police attempted to stop the vehicle on Lincoln Causeway as it travelled back towards Albury.
The driver did not stop and a pursuit began.
It was terminated when the car crossed in to NSW where road spikes were deployed.
The car stopped in the Albury Railway Station carpark and two occupants fled on foot.
Police arrested a 16-year-old girl on the railway station footbridge, while the 21-year-old man was found hiding in the backyard of a Hanel Street home.

They were both taken to Albury Police Station, where the man was charged with police pursuit - not stop - drive dangerously, drive conveyance taken w/o consent of owner, receive property stolen outside NSW, drive motor vehicle during disqualification period, drive recklessly/furiously or speed/manner dangerous, recklessly deal with proceeds of crime and enter enclosed land not prescribed premises without lawful excuse.
The man appeared before Albury Local Court on Friday where he was refused bail to appear on June 17.
The girl was charged with be carried in conveyance taken w/o consent of owner and receive etc property stolen outside NSW.
She was granted conditional bail to appear in children's court on April 26.
