Bullioh co-coach Joe Bolton was rapt with the effort from his side.
"We knew Corryong had been getting pretty good numbers and would be fairly fit, but it was good we were able to pull together to get a good win in the end," he said.
"The first quarter was pretty competitive, but everyone is always a bit the same in the first round and runs around like a headless chook to start.
"There was a fair few turnovers and not much scoring going on, but as we settled into the game we played some really good footy through periods of the second and third quarters.
"A couple of other positives is the twos, the under-14s and the netballers had really good wins, so it was a really good day as a club."
