The disgruntled Roo had a third clearance to switch clubs knocked back by Corowa-Rutherglen last week.
Similar to Damian Cupido last week, Castles' case looks destined to be heard by the national permit committee before the weekend.
Corowa-Rutherglen has until Thursday as the deadline to request the case be judged by the national permit committee.
Castles said unlike Cupido he didn't receive a $3000 sign-on fee to join the Roos last year.
Instead, Yackandandah received a payment from Corowa-Rutherglen to release the star forward from the second year of his contract with the Tallangatta league club.
"We just want the case to go to the permit committee so it will be chucked out straight away," Castles said.
"Our plan from the start was to go to the permit committee.
"We have had three clearances knocked back now.
"My understanding is if everything goes to plan the case should be heard on Friday.
"I'm supremely confident that I will be cleared because Cupido was and I didn't even receive a sign-on fee.
"To my knowledge Yackandandah received $5000 to release me from my contract and I didn't receive any money like Cupido did.
"There would be something wrong with the system if I didn't get cleared."
IN OTHER NEWS
Castles revealed he had spoken to Cupido last week who told him of his disappointment of missing the opening round of the Hume league due to the clearance wrangle.
"Big 'Cupe's' wasn't a happy man," he said.
"He said some very harsh things about Corowa that I won't repeat.
"He thought he hadn't done anything wrong and obviously the permit committee ruled in his favour.
"So I can't see why I won't be cleared either.
"To be honest I'm sick of dealing with clearance wrangles.
"Especially when I didn't do anything wrong but these things happen."
Castles said he was looking forward to joining the Goannas who play Wagga Tigers under lights on Saturday night for their season opener.
"I'm actually really keen to be playing again," he said.
"They are a great club to play for."
