Jessie Ford-McRorie was on Tuesday sentenced in the Wodonga Magistrates Court for car theft and dangerous high-speed driving in Wangaratta.
The 20-year old will on Thursday be sentenced in the County Court after attending a Wodonga home on May 1 last year.
Four victims were forced to hide in the McEwan Crescent home as he smashed a windowpane in a bid to attack an occupant.
They were so scared, they took their pets with them, fearing they too would be hurt.
Ford-McRorie entered the home through the broken window.

Two people leaned against a bedroom door as they hid as he tried to force entry.
He ripped off a security screen door handle as he tried to force a rear door.
He was arrested at the Wodonga Police Station the following day, and has been in custody since.
That offending occurred just three days after he stole a car, drove at 140km/h at Glenrowan, and put lives at risk at Wangaratta.
"In a way you're very fortunate you're where you are today, and not in prison facing a culpable driving charge," magistrate Ian Watkins said on Tuesday, noting that pedestrians could easily have been hit.
He first used drugs at 12 and is a high risk of re-offending, although Mr Watkins said he could turn things around.
"But that depends on whether you accept support and turn your back on all your mates, and I use that term loosely. ... who use drugs in Wodonga."
Mr Watkins imposed a jail term which will not impact his County Court matters.
McRorie is likely to be released on a community corrections order when sentenced in the higher court on Thursday.
