A Wodonga man has blown more than five times the legal alcohol limit after crashing his car in Albury.

Police were called to the intersection of David and Hume streets about 11pm on Thursday.
The 57-year-old man had crashed his Volkswagen Golf and was unsteady and slurring his words when police arrived.
IN OTHER NEWS:
He was taken to Albury Police Station and returned a reading of 0.26.
His licence was suspended.
The man will appear before Albury Local Court on May 24.
