Emmet Benton, 3, of Albury, and Yackandandah's Ella Joy, 7, took out the King and Queen of the Day sections at the Baby Show Time royalty show in Dandenong on Monday.
About 100 children from 0 to 8 years attended the invitation-only annual occasion that had to be cancelled last year owing to coronavirus restrictions.
The overall winners were announced after about 30 novelty sections.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Baby Show Time, which supports Kids With Cancer Foundation Australia, holds open Border events regularly, with the next at Albury's Mantra Hotel on May 24.
Ella's mother Krystal Wilson said the shows weren't pageants with make-up but rather allowed children and their parents to make new friends while supporting a good cause.
"It's about the kids enjoying themselves," she said.
"It's a loving, supportive community."
Emmet has taken part in Baby Show Time since he was a baby while Ella began five years ago.
"She was a very shy little girl," Miss Wilson said.
"It's brought her out of her shell, now she's confident, she loves dancing."
Getting the tall trophy home from Melbourne proved a challenge while show and tell at Yackandandah Primary School on Tuesday was "pretty exciting".
