Age busters are runners who put a lower number on the stopwatch than is listed on their birth certificate.
One of this year's successful age busters, Dave Cromarty, has now done it in 22 consecutive years.
"It doesn't get any easier that's for sure," Cromarty said.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Other members of Cromarty's group have similar personal records such as Col Peters who has after this year age busted 14 times.
"It is really hard and it gets harder every year and if something doesn't go you're really lucky," Peters said,.
"All our mates have got hip replacements and all sorts of things."
Another member of the group, Phil Steele, had been waiting a while to get out there and do it himself once again.
"I've been waiting for this year because last year was COVID, the year before I had a calf tear and the year before that I had family commitments," Steele said.
Of the group, Paul Gibney at age 62, posted the best time, running the course in 56.14 and placing 90th overall.
Cromarty, now into year 69 placed 116th with a time of 59.02.
Steele, who is now 66, clocked in at 61.38 and took out 145th place.
Last but not least came in Peters with a time of 61.45 which landed him in 147th place.
Every year the group gets a little smaller, but each of the members beat their number.
